We are a friendly group of instructors of love to share their passion for Nordic Walking and helping people to achieve their goals. Nothing make us happier than to see someone learn about Nordic Walking, fall in love with it and then use it hit their personal weight loss or fitness goals.

You don’t have to be a member and you will always be welcome. Nordic Walking is great fun and our instructors will not only ensure that you reach your health goals but that you have a great time doing it! You will learn all you need to know in a relaxed friendly atmosphere with the Learn To Nordic Walk course.

From the studio to the outdoors – outdoors in the natural environment is for me the BEST place to exercise – I have taught in a variety of places from Church Halls, Centre Studios, Gyms and nothing prepared me for the positive mental wellbeing and physical benefits of exercising outdoors. Nordic Walking for me has changed my life, I was a fitness instructor in studios and halls for 25 years and 3 years ago suffered a lower back issue where I could barely move. As well as keeping physically active I realised that posture and mobility as we get older is so important and NW is all of that and much, much more. There is nothing better than the feeling exercise gives you and there is nothing better than the physical, mental and social benefits NW gives you. Come and try!

Alison McKinnon

I am a Chartered Physiotherapist, specialising in balance and dizziness ( vestibular problems ). I have been working for over 30 years in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy in Scotland, England, and Canada. In the last 10 years I have become a specialist in Vestibular conditions, and work with patients with balance and dizziness problems. I love the outdoors, and have always kept fit.

Nowadays I play squash, walk, practice yoga and cycle. Nordic walking is my latest discovery and it is a great form of exercise, good for the body and soul, improves balance, core strength, and general fitness and wellbeing. I would love you to join me in Linn Park with like-minded people, and see where the Nordic walking journey takes you.

Liz started her Nordic Walking experience when her twin sister booked them into a taster session to celebrate their N0th significant birthday. Some 10 years plus, having pounded many a path and mountain with her poles, she continues to enjoy the sport. ‘… maximum workout in the fresh air, while still enjoying a good chat and catch up… What could be better…’. ….??? Susan Blaikie

Susan started her career as a nurse and midwife but after world travels returned to Scotland and now works in Clinical Research. She has always loved the outdoors and recently qualified as a Summer Mountain Leader, which enhances her role as a Duke of Edinburgh Expedition Leader. There is so much stunning scenery in Scotland, and she likes to find new routes to walk her dogs locally and further afield. Susan looks forward to sharing these walks with others while encouraging life long fitness and pushing boundaries in a fun and sociable way.
